Repello launches campaign with Pernilla Wahlgren and Christina Schollin

Repello lanserar kampanj med Pernilla Wahlgren och Christina Schollin

Pernilla Wahlgren will be the face of the Swedish-developed innovation Repello, which is based on research from Luleå University of Technology (LTU) and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Together with her mother Christina Schollin, she participates in Repello's new national campaign - where they highlight the groundbreaking technology that replaces rat poison with sound.

Repello is based on research led by Professor Örjan Johansson at LTU, who discovered that rats warn each other of danger by a specific tooth squeak - an ultrasonic sound that triggers a reflexive flight response.

When the researchers recreated these sounds, they found that the rats disappeared immediately and did not return, even after the sound stopped. This scientific discovery is the basis for Repello's bioacoustic technology, which allows pests to leave the house without being harmed.

The method is completely non-toxic, safe for both humans and pets, and has been validated in both laboratory and field studies.

National launch in November

The partnership will be launched in November and will cover TV, radio, digital channels and social media. The campaign follows Pernilla Wahlgren and Christina Schollin in everyday situations where they highlight the problem of pests in Swedish homes in a recognisable way - and shows how Repello offers a modern, non-toxic alternative to rat poison. The agreement between Repello and Pernilla Wahlgren runs until mid-2027.
